Listen: Gavin Cullen ‘probably satisfied’ as Cockhill draw in Letterkenny

GAVIN Cullen, the Cockhill Celtic player-manager, admitted that his side were second best in today’s drawn encounter with Letterkenny Rovers.

Given that Rovers had been on top over the 90 minutes, Cullen was happy to take a 0-0 stalemate back to Inishowen.

“I never set the stall out to take a point anywhere,” Cullen told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.

“The way the game went and Letterkenny were good value, we’re delighted with the point.”

Rovers had the game’s best chances, but Cockhill claimed a third clean sheet of the League season.

Cullen said: “Letterkenny were better. They were more hungry and they had more will to win. They probably had to win more than ourselves. Letterkenny probably deserved to win by two or three.

“We were down a lot of bodies, but boys stood up. We weren’t good enough in the final third and we didn’t deserve to win the match because of that.”
