Listen: Donegal manager Declan Bonner looks ahead to McKenna Cup final

Declan Bonner is gunning for Tyrone in tomorrow evening’s Dr McKenna Cup final in Armagh.

Donegal are bidding to end Tyrone’s dominance in the competition. The Red Hands have won the last six Dr McKenna Cup finals and Mickey Harte’s men are back in the final.

Due to bad weather in January, the competition was delayed, hence the final being played during what was a planned weekend off from Allianz League action.

Donegal are set to welcome Martin McElhinney and Frank McGlynn back into the fold and Bonner is hoping to turn Donegal’s recent good performances into a winning one tomorrow.

“We know now that we can be competitive, but we have to turn the performances into getting a result on the board,” Bonner said.

“It will get gametime into lads who need it. We have a number of lads coming back who haven’t got games in the League.”
