Listen: David O’Herlihy and St Eunan’s aiming to make up for last year

David O’Herlihy says an excellent League campaign has helped St Eunan’s to surge into the Senior B Championship final.

St Eunan’s face a repeat of last year’s decider against the Naomh Conaill side that edged them to the silverware 12 months ago.

“We had a settled side in the League,” O’Herlihy said.

“We knew other teams would get stronger, which they have done. Our legs told against a lot of teams, but we know it’ll be a different story in the final.”

St Eunan’s squad seeps with experience from the likes of John Haran, Kieran Sharkey and the captain Micheál Martin – a former senior winning captain.

Charlie Mulgrew is also aiding O’Herlihy’s backroom team.

Last year, St Eunan’s let a seven-point lead fall from their grasp in the final against Naomh Conaill.

O’Herlihy said: “Last year is done and dusted. Every final you get into, you want to win it. We want to be winning these things.”
