DONEGAL GAA has advertised a job vacancy this afternoon.

The County Board is seeking applications for the position of Commercial and Marketing Manager, with the post set to be filled in September.
The closing date for application is Friday, August 26.

“In order to implement a new commercial and marketing strategy, Donegal GAA is seeking an ambitious and experienced professional to lead this new and exciting function,” the job description states.

“This is a senior position reporting directly to the Executive Committee of Donegal GAA and will afford the successful applicant the opportunity to lead the commercial development of one of the top GAA Counties in Ireland.”

The role that has been created follows on from the financial plan outlined to club delegates earlier in the year by the County Treasurer, Cieran Kelly, and the position was approved by clubs at the June meeting of the Donegal County Committee.

Primarily, the Commercial and Marketing Manager will be tasked with generating new revenue streams for the Board, to aid with day-to-day running of the county and also for capital projects, such as the Donegal GAA Training Centre in Convoy.

Earlier this year, it was confirmed by the County Chairman, Sean Dunnion, that an additional €1million was needed to see the development of the Training Centre to completion.
