THERE’S STILL A lot of work to be done but if Letterkenny Rovers can get the better of Dunboyne their opponents in the last 16 of the FAI Intermediate Cup have been confirmed.

Eamon McConigley’s side saw last Sunday’s fixture against the Meath side fall foul of a waterlogged pitch. The Leinster Senior League – in accordance with national rules – will get a second chance to host the fixture on Sunday, December 13, before any possible switch.

Whoever comes out of that particular tie will be home against Midleton FC from Cork, who are third in second tier of Munster Senior League, the Senior First Division. Steve Mulcahy’s team are some two points off top-of-the-table Everton FC.

The last 16 is scheduled for the weekend of Janaury 23/24.

Jim McConnell from Bundrana, the Chairman of the Domestic Committee of the Football Association of Ireland and a member of the FAI’s Board of Control, drew the home teams at this afternoon’s draw.

Full draw:

UCD AFC v Bluebell United

St John Bosco  v Killester United

Wayside Celtic/ Carrigaline v Portmarnock

Ringmahon Rangers v Bandon AFC

Dunboyne FC/ Letterkenny Rovers v Midleton FC

Glebe North v Avondale United/ Crumlin United

Firhouse Clover/ Bangor Celtic – Rockmount/ Broadford Rovers
