CHRISTY CONNAGHAN has signed for Letterkenny Rovers ahead of Sunday’s FAI Intermediate Cup third round replay against Dunboyne FC.
The 27-year-old has been snapped up by Eamonn McConigley, the Rovers manager, and is expected to go straight into the side to face Dunboyne at the Aura Leisure Centre.
Connaghan has signed for Rovers from Donegal League side Kilmacrennan Celtic.
Connaghan had two spells at Finn Harps in the past. He made his Harps debut in September 2008, but left in 2009 to join Ulster Senior League outfit Fanad United.
He was back at Harps in 2011, but was released by Peter Hutton that summer.
“We’re delighted to have a player of Christy’s calibre on board,” Rovers manager McConigley told Donegal Sport Hub.
An audio interview with Eamonn McConigley will be available this afternoon.
