The seventh Annual Silver Tassie Hotel Charity Golf Event in aid of the North West Breast Cancer Unit at Letterkenny Hospital.

It will take place on Friday 24th July at Letterkenny Golf Club. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Breast Cancer Unit  which provides first class care facilities to the people of the North West.

This year’s competition prizes are of the highest quality for any golfer, such as green fees for Kingsbarns & The Dukes Golf Links at the home of golf and where the 2015 Open competition will be held, St. Andrews, Scotland, with accommodation included,  golf fees at Little Island GC in Cork, again accommodation included and accommodation in any Select Hotel of your choice in Ireland. The format of the competition, to suit all entries, will be a Ladies & Gents Open Singles Stableford.

The services of the Breast Cancer Unit allow for early detection, diagnosis, treatment and follow-on care. Breast ClinicConsultant/ Surgeon Michael Sugrue and his team do tremendous work for those affected by the disease and it is no doubt a very worthy cause.

“The reason we chose to host this charity golf  event is that we consider the Brest Cancer Unit  a very deserving cause, and also to give people a fun day out ” says Ciaran Blaney, proprietor of the Silver Tassie Hotel, Letterkenny, who is organizing the event in conjunction with Letterkenny Golf Club.  The local Golf Club, the most scenic parkland course in the North West and recently listed in the top one hundred, will no doubt provide a wonderful setting for a challenging game of golf for both the experienced and non experienced players.

This annual Silver Tassie Golf event promises to give both men and women the opportunity to take time out for a great cause, not forgetting the social aspect of the day which is every bit as important, with the opportunity to mingle with friends and fellow players and end the evening with delicious food served in The Silver Tassie Hotel followed by the prizegiving, all part of the day’s outing.

If you have any energy left at this stage, you can dance the night away with entertainment in the Hotel Support a great cause and book early online ; tel: Letterkenny Golf Club on [00353] 74 9121150; or Silver Tassie Hotel on [00353] 74 9125619. Entries cost just €25 pp.
