LAST SATURDAY IN the Netherlands, Grainne O’Malley and her Oisin’s GAA club from Manchester sealed their place in the All-Ireland Junior Ladies’ Club Championship semi-finals.

Goalkeeper O’Malley, who is from Dromore, Letterkenny, kept goal as the British Junior champions overcame Belgium GAA 2-16 to 2-13 and now have a home fixture against Galway and Connacht champions Moycullen on Sunday, November 8.

The travelling party arrived in Ansterdam on Friday last before making their way to Maastricht.

“Winning this match and getting through into the quarter final of the All-Ireland is like a dream come true, it took a while for it all to sink in as you can imagine!,” Grainne (pictured above), who works in Manchester as a primary school teacher, said this week.

“Now in the preparation for the match, which will take place in Manchester, so the girls are looking good. We will be sharpening up on a few things but all in all we are looking forward to the match.”
