LAST WEEK, 39 Letterkenny Gaels Camogs and hurlers assembled at Kelly’s Centra at the Mountain Top in the early hours of the morning to make their way to Croke Park.

It was for the Centra sponsored ‘Dream Day Out’. Upon arrival at Headquarters the children were greeted former Kilkenny hurler Henry Shefflin in the Cusack Stand dressing rooms and were then brought out through the tunnel onto the lush green grass of the iconic stadium.

Here the children were coached in the skills of hurling and camogie for over an hour by some of Ireland’s finest hurlers.

After the skills session the kids were ushered up into the Cusack Stand Corporate Suite to sample Croke Park’s finest cuisine and to chill out. Here they also got a chance to get their pictures taken with the Liam Mc Carthy Cup.
When lunch was finished the children had an hour to spend in the ‘Fun Zone’. This was followed by a behind the scenes Stadium Tour.

A wonderful day was had by all and the children will have life long memories that they will treasure.
The club would like to say a special thank you to Mairtin Kelly and the staff at Kellys Centra Mountain Top for their generosity and support for this event.
