Tá comhghairdeas mór tuillte acu suid a bhí páirteach i gcomórtas an Chontae do Scór na nÓg le deanaí.

Our ceilí dancers were a great hit and impressed the judges greatly at the County Final.

Shona Murray, Grace and Clara McGilloway, Maria Henry, Sorcha and Grainne Ní Fríghil, and Chloe and Orla Carey took to the stage for Gaeil Leitir Ceanainn. We are very grateful to Alison Quigley for the time and energy she put into working with the girls and Maura Uí Bhaoighill who was present for every practice.

Chloe and Orla graced the stage again along with Aoibheann and Fionán Murray to perform “Oidhreacht”, an excellent drama written by Prionsias Mac a Bhaird. Míle buíochas do Úna Quinn agus arís Maura Uí Bhaoill agus Prionsias é féin a thug treoir agus cuidiú do na haisteoirí. Caoimhe Ní Dhochartaigh, Aoibheann Ní Mhuireadhaigh, Eimear Uí Bhaoighill, Ross Ó Mearthaile agus Diarmuid Ó Cathail were our musicians for Scór this year.

They put in a great deal of work and did a great job of The Coal Miners’ Reel and Nina’s slipjig on the night. Our thanks to Deirdre Ní Dhochartaigh for all her work with them and for travelling from Limerick to Glenfin for the County Final and thanks to the Marleys for providing a bus for the group to practise in on the night, before the competition!

A final thanks to all the parents who added to their weekly mileage dropping na Gaeil Óga off for practices and collecting them and travelling to Glenfin and to all who participated in Scór this year at semi and county final levels. The club can be very proud of every one of you.

Well done to our U-15 Donegal Camogie squad members who attended their presentation night in the Arena7 at the weekend. The girls were  All Ireland Shield winners and the three LetterkennyGaels representatives were Caoimhe Doherty, Anna Mc Hugh and Eimear Quinn. The girls also won the U14 Ulster Shield during the season.
Well done to Aoibhinn Ní Mhuireadhaigh who picked up her Level 1 award at Croke Park for the Dermot Early youth leadership initiative in conjunction with the GAA, Foróige and NUI Galway. Aoibhinn represents herself and Letterkenny Gaels in the programme which recognises and develops young leaders who give to their communities.
Congratulations to senior football team captain Brendan O’Brien and the Pramerica team who won the Ulster Inter-firms Shield football final recently.
