COCKHILL Celtic and Bonagee United meet on the opening day of the new Ulster Senior League campaign in a repeat of last season’s League Cup final.
The pair have been drawn in the same group and will get matters underway on August 30th when they cross swords in the Cup at Dry Arch Park.
The weekend previously, Cockhill will play at home to SSE Airtricity League Premier Division side Longford Town in the FAI Senior Cup.
The Inishowen team have won the double in each of the past two seasons and will now be under the management of Daniel Nolan, Gavin Cullen and Shane Gallivan after Donal O’Brien stepped down.
In the League Cup final in May, goals from Matthew Henry and Peter Doherty handed Cockhill another double – and their quest for success in the new season begins against Peter Moran’s men.
The opening games in the 2015/16 League campaign are on September 27th with Cockhill playing host to Drumkeen United.
The USL is returning to a winter season having played summer football since making the switch in 2007.
