LABHAOISE CLARKE is through to the National Under-18 final after a superb semi-final win in Dublin tonight.

The Carndonagh ABC woman, winner of eight previous Irish titles, starred in the 57kgs semi at the National Under-18 Championships at The National Stadium.

Clarke dismantled Aishling Murray from Muskerry, catching the eye with several cracking blows and earning the unanimous verdict from the judges.

Clarke will now meet Kellie McLoughlin from Drimnagh in Dublin in tomorrow’s final.

Clarke’s sister, Jessica, is in Senior Cadet action tomorrow, too. On the chase of a third Irish title, Jessica meets Mary Kate Nevin from Mullingar at 50kgs.

Ciara Craig from Dunfanaghy is in the other 50kgs semi, taking on Sarah Edris of Monkstown.

There was disappointment tonight for Ciara Anderson from Twin Towns in her Under-18 semi-final, losing out 3-0 to Megan Flynn from Cherry Orchard at 48kgs.
