HUGH MCFADDEN STRUCK a 63rd minute winner for Killybegs against MacCumhaill’s in Fintra this evening in Division 2.

Killybegs 2-13 MacCumhaills 3-9
It was the home side who looked comfortable to being with. They were 1-4 to 0-1 up after 10 minutes with Eoin Ban Gallagher goaling and points coming from Daniel Breslin, goalkeeper Kevin Martin, Shane Molloy and John Ban Gallagher.

And Killybegs got a second goal when Shane Molloy was on the mark after the hosts nipped possession from a kick-out from MacCumhaill’s goalkeeper Christopher Patton.
That left the score 2-5 to 0-2 but the Twin Towns’ side got right back into the match with two goals before the break, with Shane Duffy and Darren O’Leary scoring.
At half-time it was Killybegs who were 2-7 to 2-4 ahead.

McFadden opened the scoring in part two but MacCumhaill’s soon got level when O’Leary, following a Duffy point, grabbed their third goal on 38 minutes.
O’Leary and James Lynch put the away team two up, only for McFadden to point two long-rangers to level things up.

Evan Broderick put the hosts one up and then Gary Dunnion of MacCumhaill’s was dismissed following a second yellow some four minutes from time.
Aaron Kelly took the 14 men back on terms and just as it looked as though it would even honours even, McFadden won it for Killybegs.
O’Leary did have one last chance to earn a draw. He struck a tricky free well from the guts of 10 metres but it tailed off at the last minute.
