Raymond Birch was the winner of the JJ Gallagher Memorial 5k at the weekend.

The race was held in honour of Letterkenny man JJ Gallagher, who died 20 years ago.

All monies raised are going towards Pieta House.

337 people took part in the 5k.

The Gallagher family said: “The Gallagher Family are forever grateful to the people of Letterkenny and beyond for coming out in their droves to support the various fundraising events that were held over the weekend.

“With your support our current collection tally has hit over the €15000 mark which is phenomenal and a lovely lasting tribute to JJ.”
