Jimmy White makes quick recovery as ref’ appointments revealed for semi-finals

THE REFEREES for the weekend’s club championship semi-finals have been confirmed.

Experienced Killybegs whistler Jimmy White will take charge of the Kilcar-Gaoth Dobhair SFC semi-final on Sunday.

Last weekend, White was stretchered off after injuring an ankle during St Naul’s IFC quarter-final win over Naomh Columba.

White has recovered in double-quick time, however, and has been appointed to Sunday’s game between the last two winners of Dr Maguire. Defending champions Gaoth Dobhair meet the 2017 victors Kilcar in a game that will be shown on deferred coverage on TG4.

The other SFC semi-final between St Eunan’s and Naomh Conaill will be refereed by End McFeely.

Andrew Mullin will officiate in the IFC semi-final between Aodh Ruadh and Cloughaneely with James Connors in the middle for the Naomh Brid-St Naul’s game.

Val Murray and Shane Toolan, meanwhile, will referee the Junior A semi-finals on Saturday.
