Illies’ Donna Barr reaches final of Women’s Open Elite Competition

Illies Golden Gloves light-flyweight Donna Barr is through to her final in the Women’s Open Elite Competition.

Last evening, Barr defeated Courtney Daly from Crumlin in one of the semi-finals at the National Stadium.

Barr impressed on her way to a 4-1 win over the Dubliner.

Next Saturday night, Barr will face Shannon Sweeney from St Anne’s, who eased to victory over Carol Coughlan from Mulhuddart.

The Barr-Sweeney final will take place at the St Michael’s club in Athy as part of an Ireland-England Senior Cadet international.
