IT MIGHT STILL only be pre-season but the Ulster Council this evening released details of the Ulster Club Championships for later this year.
This year in the SFC, whoever wins the Dr Maguire Cup will have a home fixture against whoever comes out on top of the preliminary round tie between the Monaghan and Down champions.

Club Intermediate Hurling Championship:
A club that has previously won this Provincial Championship shall not participate for five years after their previous win. This applies in a county where Junior, Intermediate and Senior Championship organised. A club shall have participated in their County Championship for three years after their previous win. This applies in a county where less than three Championships are organised. A County Board must apply to Comhairle Uladh for regrading if necessary.

If Burt win the Donegal championship and if Castleblayney win the Monaghan championship then they would compete in the Ulster Intermediate Championship in 2016, unless Comhairle Uladh decide otherwise.
