Ulster Senior League

Home incentive for holders as Knockalla Caravans Senior Cup draw is made

Holders Letterkenny Rovers still have to navigate a tricky Knockalla Caravans Senior Cup quarter-final tie against Glengad – but have the incentive of a home semi-final.

The semi-final draw was made this week by the Ulster FA.

Rovers, should they overcome Glengad, will be at home to the winners of the other quarter-final tie between Kildrum Tigers and Finn Harps Reserves, which was postponed on Sunday afternoon.

Glengad could prove tricky opponents here having reached the FAI Junior Cup semi-finals, via a 3-1 win over Clonmel Town on Sunday.

Rovers, who defeated Cockhill Celtic, in last season’s final, are one of three USL teams left standing.

Harps still have to negotiate a dangerous clash with Donegal League kingpins Kildrum Tigers.

Bonagee United, who overcame Cockhill away from home on Sunday thanks to Darren McFadden’s penalty, will host Inishowen League Greencastle FC in the next round with Greencastle having beaten Fanad United at the weekend.
