YOU’VE PICKED a winner for this week’s Anthony Conaghan Player of the Week Award – and here’s the result of the vote.

Orla Corry from Termon is this week’s winner.

Last Friday night at St Mary’s Park in Convoy, Termon’s ladies came out on top in a titanic Under-14A Championship final against St Eunan’s.

In the end, the Burn Road team won out 6-19 to 7-6, having been five points down halfway through the second half.

As the scoreline suggests, it was an exciting, offensive game but when her side needed her most Termon goalkeeper Orla Corry made three fantastic saves in one-on-one situations to deny Shannon Cunningham, who was St Eunan’s most dangerous forward.

A pair of Murphy’s Gloves will be winging their way to the young Termon woman.
