Grier vital as Doncaster reach European Deaf Champions League final

Catherine Grier helped Doncaster Rovers reach the European Deaf Champions League final as they negotiated a 6-5 semi-final victory over GSG Stuttgart. 

The Ramelton women were part of the close encounter, which saw Cork ladies, Rebekah Grant (5), and Natalie O’Brien (1) seal the result, despite Stuttgart, who were on home soil, scoring five.

Grier, who played for the Donegal Women’s League U17s in 2018, has been suffering from a bout of ‘flu tis week, but has been among the goals.

Doncaster now face GSTV Essen in the European Deaf Champions League final in Germany tomorrow.
