Gordon hat-trick propels LyIT ladies into Moynihan Cup final

Nicole Gordon netted a hat-trick as Letterkenny Institute of Technology booked their place in the Moynihan Cup final.

Letterkenny Institute of Technology 8-13 DCU 3-8

Gordon’s treble came on a day when LyIT went goal crazy to record a 20-point win.

The Urris clubwoman, who has been called into the Donegal senior squad this year, top-scored in the big win at Breffni Park.

Emma McMahon and Lauren Cregan netted twice while Aishleen McGuinness also raised a green flag.

McGuinness hit five points with Cregan, McMahon, Gallagher, Danielle McDevitt and Aisling Nee also on the scoreboard.

LyIT face Dundalk IT in the Moynihan Cup final on Friday at Broombridge, DIT’s sports facility.
