Normal duties resumed at the weekend with a large turnout on Saturday for what was a fine day for the the time of year although Sunday was to give us a quick reminder of what may still lay in store for a few month ahead.
The sharp overnight frost was to dictate that the course must be closed.

It took a Bot (break of tie) to decide the winner between Convoy’s Andy Parkinson (9) and Drumkeen’s Brendan Boyle (16), both having an excellent 40 points, but it was the quiet Drumkeen man who came out on top for his first win of the season and indeed the first winner of the season at BSGC.
Andy had an excellent front nine holes being just one over gross but slipped a little in the back nine.
The Gross prize winners card was a bit of a strange one. Local businesses man, Jonathan Brady (10) done nothing special in the front nine but hit an astonishing 25 points in the back nine, enough to secure the gross.
Third prize was won by Letterkenny man Dean (Dixey) Doherty (13) on a break of tie, carding a fine 38 points.
Usual competitions will be held this week.
