Gold for Kincasslagh’s Niamh Doogan at Irish Indoor Rowing Championships

Kincasslagh Rowing Club’s Niamh Doogan was celebrating a golden weekend at the Irish Indoor Rowing Championships.

Doogan broke the Irish record to win gold in the LWO-500 category at the University of Limerick Sports Arena on Saturday.

Doogan, who is among the nominees for the 2018 Donegal Sports Star Awards this week, came home in 1:44.4 to take the win.

She beat off Lucy O’Brien (1:44.7) and Miriam Fleming (1:46.8).
