Goals aplenty in Ulster Under-16 Cup as teams await semi-final draw

THE DRAW WILL BE conducted this evening for the Under-16 Ulster Cup semi-finals with Glenree United, Donegal Town, Clonmany Shamrocks and Greencastle United in the mix.

All four sides recorded big wins in their quarter-finals at the weekend.

Susanne White netted a stunning five goals for Donegal Town, who overcame Sea Rovers 8-2 at Pairc Acla.

White’s handful were added to by a brace from Danielle McDevitt and another goal by Amy Boyle-Carr.

Alana McDaid and Tara O’Connor netted for Sea Rovers.

Clonmany Shamrocks scored a fine 4-1 win over Swilly with Caoimhe Devlin and Mary Jane Doherty both scoring twice.

In an all-Inishowen tie, Greencastle had the measure of Buncrana Hearts for a 9-2 win.

Megan Havlin, Eilish Havlin, Eimear McLaughlin and Eimear Gillen all scored doubles while Danielle McLaughlin also hit the target.

Leah McDaid and Brianna Doherty scored for Buncrana, but Greencastle were emphatic winners.

Laura Dugera, Caoimhe Herron, Lauren McBride and Keri Sweeney all scored as Glenree United overcame Lagan Harps 4-0.
