Glenfin march on to the Intermediate quarter-finals with a 100 per cent record as Daniel McGlynn’s goal helped them to a win over Buncrana at The Scarvey.

Buncrana 0-12 Glenfin 1-12

McGlynn bagged the game’s only goal just before the mid-way point of the first half.

Glenfin had Hugh Foy sent off late in the opening period, but Liam Breen’s men had done enough. They were 1-9 to 0-3 in front at the break, but Buncrana hit back in the second half.

Bnuncrana hit six points in a row to bring themselves right back into the contest.

Darach O’Connor and Caolan McGonagle brought Buncrana to within two, but Jason Morrow boomed over to settle Glenfin’s wobbles.

Scorers – Buncrana: Oran Doherty, Caolan McGonagle (3f) 0-3 each, Oisin Doherty (1f) 0-2, Darach O’Connor, Peter McLaughlin, William McLaughlin, John Campbell 0-1 each.

Glenfin: Daniel McGlynn 1-1, Stephen Carr (3f) 0-4, Jason Morrow 0-3, Ciaran Brady (0-2), Packie McGrath, Hugh Foy 0-1 each.
