569 PARTICIPANTS braved the St Stephen’s Day chill to take part in Finn Valley AC’s 5k.

Sligo’s Mary Cullen set a new women’s course record while the event was won by Kilkenny’s Thomas Hayes.

The 5k has been an annual fixture on the calendar since 1972 and remains a popular event.
