GAA confirms details for Donegal’s All-Ireland qualifier against Longford

The GAA’s Central Competitions Controls Committee (CCCC) have announced the details for the Round 2A qualifiers.

Donegal will host Longford at Sean MacCumhaill Park in Ballybofey on Saturday-week, July 1.

Rory Gallagher’s team were comprehensively beaten 1-21 to 1-12 by Tyrone in Sunday’s Ulster semi-final meaning that for the first time since 2010 Donegal will not contest the Ulster final.

Donegal reached the last six finals but Tyrone marched to an impressive win on Sunday at Clones.

Now, Donegal will have to pick themselves up for the qualifiers.

Back in 2003, Donegal, then under the management of Brian McEniff, defeated Longford in a qualifier, also played in Ballybofey, on their way to an All-Ireland semi-final that year.
