Illies Celtic maintained their perfect start to the North West Women’s Super League on Thursday night when they beat Carndonagh – and the Inishowen side have yet to concede a League goal!
Elsewhere, there was a stalemate between Bonagee and Moville, while Clonmany defeated Swilly.

Aisling McGuinness scored twice on Thursday night as Moville Celtic earned a two-all draw from their trip to Dry Arch Park.
Louise Gordon’s Bonagee responded to the early set-back of a McGuinness goal as Brenda Sweeney’s double put them in command only for another strike by McGuinness to earn a share of the spoils.
Bonagee were rocked in the sixth minute when, after Ciara Harkin’s shot was saved by the legs of Denise McElhinney, McGuinness steered home, following a lapse in the Bonagee rearguard.
Bonagee were on level terms, however, when Julie McCloy’s cross was turned in by Sweeney.
On the half-hour, Bonagee looked to have been ahead, but Aisling Grieve’s trickling effort, as she bravely got a foot to a ball in by Sweeney, stopped on the goal-line.
Alice Diver tested Clodagh Skelly from distance before Bonagee hit the front when Sweeney riffled in, again from a McCloy ball in.
Bonagee thought they had extended the advantage, but Anna Doherty’s goal, after she connected to a McElhinney free, was ruled out for a foul.
Diver and McCloy combined after the start of the second half but from the latter’s cross Sweeney shot at Skelly from close range.
Diver warmed the palms of Skelly from outside the box and, again, it was Grieve who pounced for the rebound, but the follow-up was hacked away at the vital moment.
The returning Chantelle Grant wasn’t far away with a snap-shot, while sub Lauren Lynch headed just wide.
Bonagee were made pay for another defensive mistake when McGuinness arrowed over McElhinney for the leveller.
Bonagee threw the kitchen sink forward and McElhinney connected to a late Grant corner, but couldn’t divert the ball into the net.

Illies Celtic continued their magnificent record in the inaugural North-West Women’s Super League on Thursday night as John Doherty’s team scored another big win – and kept yet another clean sheet.
Illies have yet to concede a goal this season in the League and a seventh win on the trot moves their margin out to eight poins at the summit.
Michelle McDaid and Paula McGrory continued their own superb scoring exploits.
Caroline Gallagher helped herself to a brace of goals from midfield with Alana Doherty and Alison McGonigle on the mark.
Lagan Harps 5 Rashenny FC 0
Lagan were two up at half-time with goals from Michelle Doherty and Danielle McDevitt.
Strong defending by the excellent Gina Gordan prevented Amanda Callaghan and Zoe Green from extending the lead.
The second half was much the same with Lagan solid in defence and Nadine Crawford especially working hard in the middle.
Michelle Doherty got two more goals to complete her hat trick and a great strike by Danielle McDevitt wrapped up the scoring.
Aoife Page game close with 15 minutes to go but once again Gina Gordan made a spectacular tackle.
Clonmany Shamrocks 2 Swilly Rovers 1
Clonmany Shamrocks picked up their second win of the season when Colleen Kearney was the two-goal hero against Swilly Rovers.
Off the back of their first triumph of the season seven nights earlier, Swilly headed for Inishowen in buoyant mood.
But Kearney’s quick-fire double had Clonmany in command in the early stages – and they held on in spite of strong pressure.
Kerrianne Coyle pulled a goal back for Swilly, but Clonmany dug out the win.
