DUNGLOE won the showpiece game today as a jam-packed programme of Donegal LGFA Under-14 League finals took place across the county.

League Cup and Plate finals were played in all five divisions with Dungloe defeating Buncrana 4-14 to 4-8 in the Division 1 Cup final.

Rhianna McCready scored 1-6, three of them from frees, while Ellie McGarvey scored two goals for the Rosses Park side.

Ulitah Bole (1-1), Claire Diver (0-4) and Ava Caulfield (0-3) also registered for Dungloe, managed by 1992 All-Ireland winner Tony Boyle.

Buncrana battled gamely with Nicole McDaid, Ciara McGee and Jodie Loughrey doing the bulk of the scoring.

Dungloe led by a point at half-time, but they pulled clear in the final 15 minutes for the six-point win.

The game was a credit to the two sides, who came into the final unbeaten and gave a superb exhibition of football for the attendance.

Captain Ellie Ward and Vice Captain Ulitah Boyle took receipt of the U14 League Cup from Liam Skelly, the Donegal Under-14 ladies manager.

In the Division 2 Cup final, Sean MacCumhaills defeated Four Masters 3-9 to 2-8.

Katie Dowds scored 2-3 for MacCumhaills with Niamh Ryan scoring the other goal. Emily Boyce (0-4) and Aisling Mullen (0-2) were also on target for the winners.
