GALWAY UNITED THIS afternoon announced the signing of former Finn Harps striker Ruairi Keating.

The 20-year-old joined from Sligo Rovers, from where he enjoyed two half-season loans at Finn Park, scoring six and five league goals respectively in 2014 and 2015.

“Ruairi has always been bright when he has played against us, especially when he was on loan at Finn Harps,” Galway manager Tommy Dunne told Galway United’s official website. “He has undoubtedly progressed as a player and we’re hopeful that he can continue to improve at Eamonn Deacy Park.

“Ruairi is a dynamic player who has pace, he can carve out chances for others and he’s also got an eye for goal. We feel he is an exciting addition to our attacking options.”
