Fixture chaos again: Here are updates on whats on and what’s not

UPDATE: 11am ANOTHER weekend of heavy rainfall is playing havoc once more with sporting fixtures across Donegal.

This morning, however, Pairc Aodh Ruadh in Ballyshannon passed an inspection to host the EirGrid Ulster Under-20 quarter-final between Donegal and Monaghan (throw-in 1pm). The game was postponed last weekend due to unplayable pitches.

On Thursday, it was announced that the game had been moved to Ballyshannon with O’Donnell Park in Letterkenny scheduled to host the Donegal senior hurlers’ Allianz League clash with Monaghan tomorrow afternoon.

In the Donegal Saturday League, Donegal Town cannot now win the Glencar Inn Division One title.

Donegal Town would have been crowned champions had they beaten Fintown Harps and Keadue failed to win against Milford.

The Keadue-Milford game is OFF, while Donegal Town will host Fintown Harps at the Hospital Field, which has passed a pitch inspection.

Others games confirmed OFF by Christina O’Donnell, the Donegal League fixtures secretary, are: Arranmore United v Kildrum Tigers, Castlefin Celtic Reserves v Drumoghill FC Reserves, Drumkeen United Reserves v Ballybofey United Reserves.

The Ulster Junior Shield game between Drumbar and Quigleys Point Swifts has been switched to Coolshannon (Eany Celtic).
