Finn Valley AC success at Novice Cross Country – Picture special and full results

FINN VALLEY AC were victorious in the men’s and women’s events at the Donegal Novice Cross-Country today at Mullaghderg.

John McFadden led the way for Finn Valley in the men’s race.

McFadden won from his Finn Valley team-mate Shea Carlin with Tir Chonaill AC’s Martin Cunningham in third.

Finn Valley won the team gold from Milford and Rosses.

Natasha Kelly was an impressive winner of the women’s race. Kelly led Finn Valley to team gold in the women’s event, too.

Elaine Connor from Lifford-Strabane was second with Eimear Wiseman in third.

Again, Finn Valley took the team honours, with Rosses – the event hosts today – in second and Lifford-Strabane third.

From St Johnston and now based in Letterkenny, Chris was a nominee for NUJ Sports Journalist of the Year in 2010. Honoured by the Donegal Boxing Board in 2016 for his coverage on the sport.
