FINN HARPS MANAGER OLLIE HORGAN has secured his UEFA Pro Licence, completing an intense period of work for the St Eunan’s College schoolteacher.

Horgan, along with 16 other graduates, was presented with is certificate last night by the FAI’s High Performance Director, Ruud Dokter and FAI CEO John Delaney.

It was on foot of being appointed as the Harps manager late in 2013 that Horgan began his Pro Licence in 2014.

Horgan completed the course at the end of last season, when he led Harps to promotion via a play-off win over Limerick FC.

Dokter attended the First Division game between Harps and Wexford Youths at Finn Park last October to assess Horgan, with Harps winning 4-1 on the night.

The Pro Licence is required for managers in the top flight.

Horgan was joined in graduating with his Pro Licence by his predecessor as Harps manager, Peter Hutton, and by former Harps midfielder Tom Mohan, now manager of the Republic of Ireland Under-19s.
