Dylan Browne Mc-Monagle was a busy jockey at the weekend and edged ever closer to the magical mark of 200 winners.

First, the Letterkenny teenager made the long journey to Omey Island in Co Galway on Sunday, where he notched up a treble and had another winner at the Bank Holiday Monday meeting at Ballintra to bring his tally to four.

The Donegal rider steered Unhinged to victory at Omey Strand Co Galway in the 14h pony race.

He doubled up when Let Him Go won the two mile open and the icing was on the cake when Bypolar Blondie was a gutsy winner of the 10 furlong giving him the treble.

The traditional August Monday in Ballintra gave the teenager another winner as Let Him Go showed no ill effects from the day before by taking the two mile open in good style.

Dylan is now only two wins away from his 200th win and with the three-day Dingle festival next weekend, he’s hopeful of reaching another milestone in Dingle.

Philip Byrnes made the long journey from Co Limerick worthwhile as he took the opener on the impressive Who Knows the one mile open.

Sam Ewing from Co Antrim is currently in flying form as he was crowned champion rider in Omey on Sunday with four winners and also was in fine tune at Ballintra taking Champion Honours for the second day running with a treble bringing his total to the magnificent seven inside 24 hours.

Sam got a great response out of Treasured Memories in the 10 furlong open winning comfortably. Angel Eyes was a popular winner of the 153cm for the man in form and his day was completed by taking the feature race on Will I Am in the Donegal Derby.

Sam Hamilton son of trainer Brian Hamilton in Co Down got his first ever winner when he gave Annies Pet a polished ride in the concluding race of the day the non winners over 12 furlongs a day he wont forget.
