Donna Barr in training with Irish elite seniors in Dublin

TWIN TOWNS BOXER Donna Barr began a one-month training camp with the Irish senior elite squad this moring.

The light-flyweight will be based in the High Performance Unit at The National Stadium in Dublin.

In November, Barr was beaten by Lauren Hogan 40-36 36-40 39-37 in the Irish senior light-flyweight final, on a night when the judging came in for sharp criticism from the Twin Towns camp.

Now, though, Barr is attending the one-month training camp alongside the likes of Katie Taylor, the Olympic, World and European champion.
