DONEGAL WOMEN Nora Stapleton and Larissa Muldoon have been named as the half-backs for Ireland’s November Series game against England at the UCD Bowl this Sunday.

Fahan’s Stapleton has been chosen at fly-half with Cappry woman Muldoon set to play at scrum-half for Tom Tierney’s team.

The experienced duo are set to form the partnership as Ireland go into the first of three games in the November Series.

The pair were part of the Irish team that won the Grand Slam in 2013 and the Six Nations in 2015.

Muldoon plays for Railway Union in Wales while Stapleton lines out for Old Belvedere and Leinster.

Also on the Irish squad for Sunday are Katie Norris from Moville and Jackie Shiels, whose mother, Sarah McGinty, is from Donegal town.

Shiels is from Meath and, like Stapleton, plays for Old Belvedere and Leinster.

Moville’s Norris, a second row forward, plays with Blackrock College and Leinster.

After Sunday’s game against England, Ireland play Canada on Saturday-week and on November 27 they meet New Zealand, with all games at the UCD Bowl.
