NEW YEAR, SAME story.

Declan Bonner, the Donegal U-21 manager, and his predecessor Maxi Curran have both had their bother with Tyrone in the Eirgrid Ulster Under-21 Football Championship and next spring, Donegal must visit the Red Hands in the quarter-finals of the competition.

In 2015, Curran’s Donegal were pipped by a Tyrone side who went onto win the All-Ireland, in the Ulster final on a 1-11 to 0-13 scoreline in the provincial decider.

Then, last year, a tempestuous contest saw Bonner’s Donegal go down 1-15 to 2-8 against Tyrone.
