Donegal go into the break with a four point lead after what has been a good start in Ballybofey.
Michael Langan has been the standout performer so far hitting three points from play.
Gearoid McKiernan has been a danger throughout making some big carries in the middle sector. Corner forward Caoimhin O’Reilly has been menacing too and he bagged Cavan’s goal.
Like Langan, Ciaran Thompson has hit three points and has had a busy game in the half-forward line thus far.
Ryan McHugh grabbed the goal for Donegal after he fisted a Michael Murphy 45′ into the back of the net. It has been an open game of football so far, Donegal will certainly be looking to perform in a similar manner over the next thirty-five minutes.
