THREE Donegal boxers take to the stage at the National Stadium tonight looking to reach National Senior Championship finals.

Illies Golden Gloves trio Caroline Gallagher, Matthew McCole and Oran Shields line up for semi-finals of the tournament on the penultimate weekend of action.

Welterweight Gallagher (pictured) goes against Celtic Eagles puncher Karolina Jaglowska in her semi-final.

Rosie Doherty of St Francis has a bye to the finals and awaits the winner of the Gallagher-Jaglowska bout.

Dungloe welter Matthew McCole is in these Championships under the Illies banner. The highly-fancied McCole faces Sean Butler from Riverstown in his semi-final.

Last week, McCole defeated Conor Reneghan from Keady having beaten Christian Preston (Docklands) the previous week, both on unanimous verdicts.

Middleweight Shields takes on Lucan’s Daniel O’Sullivan.

Letterkenny native Shields had 3-2 split decision wins over Adam Farrell (Fr Flanagans) and Rokas Balrukoni (Clane) to reach this weekend’s slate.

22 semi-finals are set to be decided tonight down the South Circular Road.
