Donegal were struck with an injury blow on Sunday after the game against Kildare in Ballyshannon.

St Eunan’s defender Conor Morrison sustained a fractured ankle when he went over awkwardly.

After the game, members of the panel who didn’t feature in the 1-15 to 3-7 win over the Lilywhites at Fr Tierney Park went through a workout. Morrison picked up the injury that will now keep him sidelined for around 8-10 weeks.

The Letterkenny man started in the McKenna Cup final win over Tyrone, but has not featured yet in the Allianz League.

Last year, Morrison scored a point in the Ulster U21 final win over Derry.

Frank McGlynn missed Sunday’s win due to flu, but is expected to be in contention again this Saturday evening when Donegal face Tyrone at Healy Park. Martin McElhinney will sit out this weekend due to an ankle complaint, while Paddy McGrath – yet to play in 2018 because of a knee injury – remains on track to play some part in the latter fixtures of the League.
