THE DONEGAL MOTOR CLUB has been given the go-ahead for the return of a ‘Closed Mini Stages Rally’ that will take place on Saturday, January 30th.

Karl Reid has been elected as the Clerk of the Course for the event.

Reid recently filled the COC role for the An Grianan Hotel Harvest Stages Rally and is looking forward to his next assignment.

“We have been given the go-ahead for the event recently, and it is a priority to get the route, regulations, and essential requirements in place shortly to give the club members a great Mini-Event,” Reid said..

“Although termed ‘Mini’ it requires the same stages of planning, although with fewer miles than the Joule International Rally or Harvest Rally.

“The full team are hard at work to make this happen. Essentially this is an event for the Donegal Motor Club members, as it is a ‘closed’ permit.”

The Mini Stages Rally will be based in Letterkenny and will consist of six special stages, two stages run three times, over a total distance of around 90km.

Regulations and further details will be made available shortly, on the Donegal Motor Club website, wwwdonegalmotorclub.com
