Raymond Shields and the Donegal League begin their Oscar Traynor Trophy campaign on Saturday with a derby clash against Inishowen League.

The game, at 7.30pm, will be the first competitive game under the new floodlights at the Diamond Park in Ballyare.

Shields has taken over from Brian Dorrian as manager of the Donegal League side and he includes in his ranks former Finn Harps star Kevin McHugh.

Now with Kildrum Tigers, McHugh was instrumental last season as Kildrum won the League and Cup double.

The likes of Matthew Crossan, James Doherty and Raymond Foy have played for Harps and the 24-man squad is littered with experience.

Inishowen are once again managed by Diarmuid O’Brien.

Donegal League squad: Michael Mullan, Christopher O’Donnell, James Doherty, Matthew Crossan, Ryan Shields, Kieran Gorman, Raymond Foy, Seami Friel, Damien Crossan, Cory Gallagher, Kevin McHugh, Daire McDaid, Michael Lynch, Benny Bonner, Gareth Colhoun, JP Malley, Darren McGowan, Darren O’Leary, Paddy McNulty, Dean O’Donnell, William Lynch, Conor Matthewson, Jaydee Alayee, Christoper Dillon.
