DONEGAL HURLERS Danny Cullen, Joe Boyle and Ronan McDermott have been named in the Ulster panel for Saturday’s GAA Hurling Inter-Provincial semi-final against Connacht.

Setanta ‘s Cullen and Burt duo McDermott and Boyle are the Tir Chonaill representatives on the 24-man Ulster squad.

Kevin Ryan is the Ulster manager. They take on Connacht in the semi-final at Pearse Stadium on Saturday at 12.30pm.

Boyle (pictured above) was the Donegal captain in 2015 while Setanta ace Cullen recently recovered from a cruciate injury sustained in 2014.

McDermott had an outstanding season with Donegal and has been named as Donegal Hurler of the Year, an award that is to be presented on Friday night at the annual awards function, at the Mount Errigal Hotel in Letterkenny.

Meanwhile, no Donegal footballers have been included in Pete McGrath’s 24-man Ulster football panel for Saturday evening’s Inter-Provincial semi-final against Connacht at the Athletic Grounds in Armagh (7pm).

Rory Gallagher’s squad is set to take on Derry in a challenge game at Coláiste Ailigh on Saturday afternoon and have not been made available for the fixture.

Although Derry players Chrissy McKaigue and Brendan Rodgers are included in the Ulster panel, it is expected that they will be part of Damien Barton’s Derry squad for Saturday’s challenge in Letterkenny.
