THERE WAS DISAPPOINTMENT for the Donegal Women’s League Under-14s in this morning’s Gaynor Cup semi-final in Limerick.
Bríd McGinty’s team lost out 3-0 to pre-tournament favourites Metropolitan Girls League at University of Limerick.
MGL, who overcame Inishowen in the group phase of the competition 2-0, hit the front through Jessica Ziu.
MGL added further goals from Orla Prendergast and Shauna Carroll.
MGL will meet Cork, who defeated Mayo 3-0 in the other semi, in the afternoon’s final.
[adrotate group=”37″]Diarmuid O’Brien’s Inishowen will play in the Plate final.
Inishowen came from behind to defeat Limerick Desmond this morning with Erin McLaughlin and Megan Havlin scoring in a 2-1 win.
Inishowen will face Tipperary South in the final after they defeated Clare 5-3 on penalties following a 2-2 draw.
