Donegal GAA to select ‘Team of the Decade’ – and you have a say!

DONEGAL GAA officials are selecting a Team of the Decade – and you can help them decide who makes the cut.

The last decade has been the most successful for Donegal teams.

The golden years include the 2012 All-Ireland win, an appearance in the 2014 All-Ireland final, five Ulster SFC crowns and two Division 2 League titles.

Donegal have won half of their all-time total of ten Ulster titles in the last decade with the Anglo Celt visiting Tir Chonaill in 2011, 2012, 2014, 2018 and 2019.

Fans can have a say with voting open on the official Donegal GAA website: https://donegalgaa.ie/pick-your-team-of-the-decade/

A shortlist of 45 players, who have played five or more Championship matches, has been drawn up.

Supporters are asked to make a selection – preferably a goalkeeper, six defenders, two midfielders and six forwards – based on the players’ overall career.

Fans’ votes will count for 50 per cent and the remaining 50 percent of the vote will be from a panel of experts, deciding separately, both inside and outside Donegal.
