Two Donegal players are named on the Republic of Ireland Under-17 squad for the UEFA Womens’s Under-17 First Phase qualifiers.

St Johnston woman Tyler Toland and Glenties’ Amy Boyle-Carr are selected on the Irish squad that takes part in games against Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania and Greece in Bosnia.

Toland is currently in camp with the Irish senior squad ahead of tomorrow evening’s World Cup qualifier against Northern Ireland.

The Maiden City midfielder, who only turned 16 last month, is in the senior ranks for the first time.

Last year’s U16 player of the year, Deele College student Toland will be among the key players for the U17s, also managed, like the seniors, by Colin Bell.

Boyle-Carr had a superb season with Cup winners Sion Swifts and has been a regular feature in underage international teams recently.

The Irish U17s fly to Sarajevo on Thursday with the first game against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Sunday.
