Dohertys lead the way in Winter Woolie Warmer 5k

HUSBAND AND WIFE TEAM Ciaran and Teresa Doherty were top of the class in the Winter Woolie Warmer 5k last evening in Letterkenny.

Letterkenny AC’s Ciaran led home the 186-strong field in a time of 15 minutes 20 seconds.

Teresa, who runs in the Finn Valley AC singlet, was fourth overall and the first woman to finish, clocking 16:49.

Pauric Breslin of Letterkenny AC was second in 16:01 with Clones AC representative James Clarke third in 16:22.

The event was hosted by the Letterkenny Rotary Club and refreshments were provided at Divers Hyundai.
