There were home wins for Naomh Ultan and Red Hughs in Division Three last night with Naomh Ultan’s win over Downings now leaving the Rosguill men in real relegation danger.

Naomh Ultan 0-12 Downings 1-5

It’s advantage Naomh Ultan in the battle to avoid the drop in Division 3 and a four-point loss in Dunkineely means Downings are in a sticky wicket now.

Alan Lyons clipped nine points last night as Naomh Ultan claimed a vital win.

Finnian McClafferty netted a second-half goal for Downings, but it wasn’t enough to inspire a comeback.

Scorers – Naomh Ultan: Alan Lyons 0-9, Aidan Duddy 0-2, Peter Alvey 0-1

Downings: Finnian McClaffferty 1-0, Lorcan Connor 0-3, Aaron McClafferty, Gary McClafferty 0-1 each

Red Hughs 0-12 Naomh BrĂd 1-6

Red Hughs had too much for Naomh BrĂd as they overturned a two-point interval advantage to win by three in Monellan.

Damien Browne, again, top scored for Red Hughs with six points.

The home side were 1-4 to 0-5 behind at the shot whistle with Naomh BrĂd powered by a goal from Dara Brogan, but Red Hughs shook their heads clear to win.

Scorers – Red Hughs: Damien Browne 0-6, Calvin Bradley 0-3, Ricky Gallen, Stephen McMenamin, Colm Melaugh 0-1 each

Naomh BrĂd: Dara Brogan 1-1, Sean Gormley, Pauric McDaid, Eoin Harron, Declan McCafferty, Clint Walsh 0-1 each
