AS AODH RUADH MADE IT five-from-five at the summit of the AllSportStore.com All-County Football League Division 3, Naomh Brid, Letterkenny Gaels and Naomh Colmcille all won.

In Crampsey Park, the leaders and the already-promotion-favourites Aodh Ruadh overcame Urris 1-16 to 0-14.

Aodh Ruadh led 1-10 to 0-7 at the break.

The game’s only goal came in the final moments of the first half as David McGurrin fired to the net from close range.

McGurrin scored 1-3, Diarmaid McInerney helped himself to five points, Philip Patton and David Dolan scored three apiece with Conor Patton getting two as the Ballyshannon men continued their magnificent form.

Darren Grant (6) and Alan Friel (4) top-scored for Urris.

Naomh Bríd are up into second as they took a home win over Gaeil Fhánada.

Great-Northern-Hotel

Padraig McDaid scored the goal from a penalty with Shane Walsh and Darragh Brogan scoring a brace of points each.

Naomh Colmcille picked a good day for a first League win of 2016 as Francie Martin’s team overcame neighbours Burt in a keenly-contested derby in Newtown.

Last year’s Intermediate Championship finalists scored a 1-6 to 0-8 win over Burt.

Michael Lynch scored a second-half goal for the winners.

Lynch and Ryan McErlean traded positions in part two with Lynch, who began at midfield, going to full-forward.

Lynch punched a long ball goalward and, after the initial attempt cannoned back off the bar, the St Johnston man slapped the rebound to the net.

Joe Donaghy, Eddie Gillespie, McErlean and Daniel Clarke all scored points for Naomh Colmcille.

Letterkenny Gaels scored an entertaining 3-8 to 2-8 win over Buncrana last night at Pairc na nGael.

Conor McBrearty hit 2-4 for the winners and Mark Hunter also netted with Oisin Doherty getting both Buncrana goals.
