Diarmuid O’Connor comes in as Mayo make one change to face Donegal

Diarmuid O’Connor has been named to start for Mayo in tomorrow’s Allianz League Division 1 game against Donegal at MacHale Park, Castlebar.

O’Connor has been selected by Manager Stephen Rochford in just one change to the Mayo team from last weekend.

Kevin McLoughlin scored a winner in added time for Mayo in Omagh on Sunday as they defeated Tyrone 1-10 to 0-12.

Mayo remain in relegation trouble but, such are the quirks of the tightness of the Division 1 table, they, too, could actually make a League final with the right fall of results.

Staving off relegation, however, is foremost in their minds.

O’Connor takes the place of David Drake as Mayo look for maximum points.

Donegal will be without Ryan McHugh, who is set to be sidelined for around a month with an ankle injury.

Rory Gallagher has not yet made the Donegal team public.

Mayo: David Clarke; Brendan Harrison, Keith Higgins, Chris Barrett; Colm Boyle, Lee Keegan, Paddy Durcan; Tom Parsons, Danny Kirby; Shane Nally, Cillian O’Connor, Fergal Boland; Kevin McLoughlin, Andy Moran, Diarmuid O’Connor.
